FlatPaks: Do I Really Need Them?
Guys, I want to eliminate unnecessary system-related software on my laptop, in an effort to keep it "lean & mean".
To that end, if I understand correctly, during a typical installation, Flatpak's are installed, by default, but are not necessarily required for the system to operate effectively and efficiently. If I am correct in my thinking, how do I uninstall Flatpak's from my Linux Mint 21.2 (Cinnamon) installation? Thanks, guys and gals! |
Forgive me if I come off as a smart ass. Lean and mean. The only thing you will gain is ssd / hard drive space. They don't use much more memory to my knowledge. At least not enough to matter for any somewhat modern machine.
run Code:
flatpak list Code:
apt autoremove flatpak |
I don't enough about flatpaks to delete them, so I think I'll leave things "as is".
