Flash for mint 16

Hi, need help with flash on Mint 16. I follow the flash
windows until I get to download now. It freezes and does
not appear doing anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi thanks. I only have software manager under Mint 16. It has no application
for flash there.

Is there another software-center in Mint 16?

I have found that I need to select a distro for the correct code (32 bit) It gives a choice
of

YUM for Linux (yum)
.tar.gz for other Linux
.rpm for other Linux
APT for Ubuntu 10.04

which is the correct one for Linux Mint 16?

Mint is derived from Ubuntu so the "APT for Ubuntu" would be the choice. You do know that Mint 16 is no longer supported, no security updates or software using the standard methods. Mint 13 and 17 are supported.

Thanks I'll try that. When I download it what way do I run it, in a terminal?

No I did not know it wasn't supported I guess I will have to upgrade to Mint 17.
Thanks for the information.

Thanks I did it from a terminal before your reply I did it with
the command using cd to the extracted libflashplayer.so;
sudo libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.

I haven't yet tested it because I think I have to reboot before
I get it to work.

Thanks for all your help

Nope. Just restart the browser.
and that should be
Code:
sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
from the extracted directory.
