[SOLVED] Can't download apps in Mint 17 Cinnamon

Just installed Mint 17 Cinnamon, and want to install Skype. I found Skype in the list of available packages, but when I click install, nothing happens. What am I supposed to do? I'm not getting an error code anywhere.

This worked for me: sudo apt-get install skype.

You might run: sudo apt-get update first.
