[SOLVED] Broadcomm wireless driver working on LXDE desktop but not on Gnome3 on Mint 11

Dear All,

I have been using linux Mint for a while now on my HP Mini 110. I recently installed Gnome 3 shell on mint. The wireless driver is installed correctly and on LXDE desktop the wireless works fine but when I switch to GNOME it stops working.

The additional drivers shows that the driver is working but I dont see the icon on the panel nor does it work.

Try using wicd, and see if that works. I've had good luck with it both under XFCE4 and KDE.

btw, network-manager conflicts with it, so you might have to remove that if wicd doesn't work.
