Best LINUX MINT Distro for DELL DIMENSION E521?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the best Linux Mint Ditro to use on an old DELL DIMENSION E521? I have 18.1 on it now but it's kinda slouchy. This DELL had Windows XP originally and we all know what happens when you keep THAT! |

hammyhamster2007,
I can only second the sound advice from KC1DI to use MX Linux or antiX. Here is MX-18 on a 10 year old, low-powered netbook: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/eeepc-mx-linux.html |

You can download the 64bit version from tails.boum.org two versions are for DVD or USB to download for free. They refuse to make a 32 bit version even though 25% of machines are 32 bit. If you only have a 32 bit machine you will have to contact me and I can tell you were to get the 32 bit on USB or DVD. |
