im trying to get a relatively un demanding linux distribution running on my sisters laptop (toshiba sattelite 3000 x4, 128 mb ram)
the install process went fine, and the only graphics options i remember being given was what colour depth/resolution to use. i chose 1024x768x256, thinking that was a fairly safe option
when it boots up, you can just about see the logon screen, but its fuzzy, and disapears after 3 seconds or so, so obviously the display settings are set up badly.
im not a linux pro, so could someone help me set up the graphics settings. i can get to a console somehow, i was just bashing alt, shift and ctrl randomly in conjunction with F keys, because i knew it was something like that to get to a console...
so i can logon as root, i just dont know how to change the settings. helps!!! please!!
