Xircom CreditCard 10/100 CE3-10/100 driver not loaded under FEDORA or RHEL
Ciao!
Maybe someone could help me with this: When I pop in the card I hear two beeps. The first is a beep, the card is found. But the second is a bonk, it can't load a driver for the card. /sbin/cardctl ident gives the following result: Socket 0: product info: "Xircom", "CreditCard 10/100", "CE3-10/100", "1.00" manfid: 0x0105, 0x010a function: 6 (network) Socket 1: no product info available I tried to look for a driver on the net and I also looked for a solution in different newsgroups, but I didn't find anything useful since I am also not so familiar with Linux yet. I saw in this forum that finegan helped in a similar situation. Thanks a lot for your answers! |
try doing 'modprobe xirc2ps_cs' (as root, of course) then 'ifconfig eth0 up' (assuming its configured as eth0). I have the same card, and thats how i got mine to work
