Just like a month ago I bought a new dell laptop, recently I tried to install slackware and it worked .. partially, I can't see kde or any desktop. When I type startx the screen starts flashing and fading colors, I tried with kanoppix live cd, Suse live dvd and slax live cd and it's the same, seems like x11 can't support WSXGA screen... I already tried to set the "correct" display with xorg.conf file but it's useless, I had tried a lot of stuff but nothing ... still can only see the light flashing and that's all ..

Any idea or help

m nt sure but it worked fr me on FC5 it detected my nvidia card and i cud set xorg.conf file and set the resolution parameter with horizontal and vertical sync values. it worked. Let me chk out and get bk to u.
