wlan Problem with Broadcom 4318 / Amilo 7645

Hi there,

I have a problem with my laptop ( Amilo 7645 Fujuitsu-Siemens )

When I run Windows XP everything works fine for me.

Under Slackware 10.0 with fresh 2.6.12 kernel and the 16k stacks patch i can compile ndiswrapper-1.2 without problems ( although i get the usual warnung for having 4kstacks activated ).

ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf runs fine, modprobe runs fine, iwconfig shows the device and i can even run the device in Ad-Hoc mode.

But if I set the device to run with my accesspoint via
"iwconfig wlan0 mode managed"
it simlpy changes to "Mode managed" but does not find any accesspoint!
I cannot set my essid via "iwconfig wlan0 essid wlan". No error, but also no change in the output of "iwconfig"
"iwlist wlan0 scan" returns something like "cannot find anything" and i really don't have no idea what to do.

The most "funny" thing about this is, that I had it running until a few hours ago... I just recompiled my kernel and added jfs-support to it. After this I recompiled ndiswrapper and reconfigured everything and now the thing "works" but I cannot find and use my accesspoint. Even recompiling my kernel again without jfs could not help!

Thanks for your help, tuXpert

My Broadcom 4318 wouldn't connect while using WEP until I changed my router to privacy option to "SHared Key". I previously had it set to "Open".
