Wlan Card suddenly won't monitor

Hi there, everybody.

I have a problem with my Slackware 9.1

When I had installed Slack 9.0 my D-Link DWL-660 Wlan card was able to
work in monitor mode... fine.

Now I installed Slack 9.1 and suddenly it says the following when typing
iwconfig eth0 mode monitor:

**

SET failed on device eth0 ; Invalid argument

**

does anybody know how to fix that?
The card has a prism2 chipset, but (normally) runs fin with the orinoco drivers...

IIRC, the stock orinoco_cs drivers do not use monitor mode and were over-written when you installed the new kernel. You can get patches for the drivers here: http://airsnort.shmoo.com/orinocoinfo.html
