wireless woes: ubuntu 12.04 LTS - Toshiba laptop
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS-version on a Toshiba laptop A300 (specs below), but suddenly i cannot connect to the open wireless downtown (or at home for that matter).
Ive been told that i by accident perhaps have enabled "wireless off" via some shortcut keys.. (no luck from FN + F8-keys, though) Some helpful developer suggested that I will play around with a tool called 'rfkill' which will helps to investigate in what state my systems kill-switch currently is in ("rfkill list").. the result of this command in the teminal is as follows: 1: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes tommy@tommy-Satellite-A300:~$ have i any options left that i may not know of ? ubuntu 12.04 LTS intel pentium dual cpu 1.86GHz 2.0 memory 247,6 HD |
