Unhappy wireless driver problem


hey i m very new linux user and i am using rhel6 .i am unable to connect my wlan with my net connection.
it is showing that firmware is missing ...
plz help me to get rid out of it..

If you are using RHEL, support comes with your license. Have you called Red Hat? I hear that their support is excellent.

try Linux Mint instead, it come with drivers&ndiswrepper preinstalled

You will need to supply more information on what wireless device you have.
run "lscpi -v" to get some information. run "lscpi -n" to get the manid.

For usb devices, use lsusb instead.

Here is a Red Hat help page on installing firmware for a particular wireless device. It should give you an idea how to proceed:
