Wireless card not detecting on Dell Laptop

Hi I have a dell laptop (inspiron series). I have to OS loaded on it namely vista and redhat linux. For some reason the wireless card is not getting detected. I gave the command "lscpi" and it did not show the wireless card in the list. My wireless card name is "DELL wireless 1395 WLAN mini-card". Wireless works fine when I load vista. Any help is appreciated.

You will use yum instead of apt-get and you'll have to use the right driver file for your location. So visit dell and get the drivers first.

Thanks for your quick reply but my OS is redhat and not ubuntu. ndiswrapper is not there in redhat. Any help to do it on redhat 5.4 would be of great help

Ndiswrapper IS available for RedHat. Did you try to install it using yum? Also, be aware that if you're not PAYING for RedHat enterprise linux, you won't get access to the RedHat repositories, updates, patches, etc. Unless you have a very specific need for RedHat enterprise, you should either load CentOS (essentially RedHat enterprise, but free, and community supported), which will give you the patches/updates etc., or load another distro that's more focused towards 'consumer' hardware. Ubuntu is a good one.

The link that was posted is for Ubuntu, but the basic instructions still work. As smoker said, you use yum instead of apt-get, but again, unless you're paying for access, you won't be able to access the RedHat repos to install ANYTHING.
