Wilress Comms failed
 

SUSE10 installed on Sony P10 laptop. Log messages show
bcm43xx Error: Microcode "bcm43xx__microcode5.fw" not available or load failed.

ESSID and 128 bit WEP encryption key ahve been entered via YAST Administration.

iwconfig displays
eth1 IEEE802.11b/g ESSID:"" Nickname:"Broadcom4318"

ifconfig does not list eth1.

Any help appreciated. New to Linux.

Linksys PCMCIA card works OK with WindowsXP.

Using the search tool shows many post on the same error. I used this portion for searching ' bcm43xx Error: Microcode bcm43xx '. Check this one out.

The key was to enter ndiswrapper for the module name.
I had wrongly entered the module name as BCM43xx.

Now that I am talking to my wireless router OK I cannot get out onto the Internet with Firefox.
Any clues/help appreciated.
I have not configured any Firewall yet and have configured the address of the gateway as my router.
But all I get is Server not found.
How do I configure Firefox to use the wireless router as my DNS server?
