Wifi not showing up on Toshiba laptop
Hi everyone,
I'm new to linux and just installed zorin 12 Lite on my toshiba tecra A9 - s9015x laptop. My wifi and blue tooth aren't working. It doesn't show any available network connections or the wifi symbol on the bottom of the desktop screen where time and date is, it shows ethernet symbol. Ethernet works fine. I tried the command "sudo rfkill list all" and got 0: Toshiba bluetooth: Bluetooth soft blocked: no hard blocked: yes 1: phy0 wireless lan softblocked: no hardblocked: yes I do know that my wifi card is a intel (R) wireless wifi link 4965AGN I'd appreciate any help |
Hard blocked wireless interface usually implies that the hardware is disabled by switch, button, or keyboard combo. This may be helpful...

+1 ferrari
and in case that is not a hint....first step is to go into bios settings on an old dell I had I could disable wifi, bluetooth, etherenet etc and change how the switch worked. the position of the switch on a dell is (left) off for what is configured in bios (middle) on for what is configured in bios (slide to the right) toggle on for what is configured in the bios ---you can't leave it to the right your motherboard manual should give you a clue |
Thanks for all the replies got it working. I found the on/off switch for wifi
