which kind of format is the ubuntuTouch installation file ?How can I look inside it ?

Hello. The ubuntu touch installation file's format is IMG. Which kind of application can I use to look inside it ? I tried to mount it with this command :

mount -o loop trusty-preinstalled-system-armel+manta.img /mnt/tmp

but it says :

mount: you have to specify the file system type

or

parted trusty-preinstalled-system-armel+manta.img

Welcome to GNU Parted. Write "help" to get the commands list

I'm guessing it's a raw disk image or an ISO. If so it possibly contains partition or other data at the beginning of the file. If you knew what, you could specify an offset to mount where the filesystem begins.

It may be possible using some tool (I can only think of testdisk offhand, but I know there has to be others, I haven't done this myself) to find the superblock of an ext file system (or perhaps the start of the partition). Note the offset, and pass that to mount when tryng to mount the image.

Try "file -s ..."
Else you might need to dump it and eyeball it.
