Hi all,
I recently bought a dell latitude D520 and willing to install linux on it. Which distro you think will be better for recognizing all H/W in it? Its because Currently its running only XP and having problem in recognizing the LAN which is Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated controller which always shows "Network Cable unplugged" even if its connected to my internal LAN.

The BCM 4312 needed the appropriate firmware and networking runs best with wicd but otherwise setup was fairly straightforward and the computer runs beautifully.
