I recentyl bought a Dell Inspiron(Intel Pentium M 1.4 Ghz,512 mb ram,
80gb.geforece go 5200 32mb vram). I want to install linux in it apart than
the crap it comed with. From my option list suse is out(because unfortunately they are unable to give me any store name from where
I can go physically and buy). So I need suggestions from you guys on which
one I should go on my laptop.I heard fedora core 2 has some problem with
winxp,is the problem still there? Any suggestion is most welcome.
Wasn't paying attention to where he lived, but there is always ordering it off the internet if thats possible. I'm sure you like Fedora Core and all, but that is by far the worst distro I have ever used. There are too many broken things, and test programs that don't work right yet to justify using it ever, not to mention Red Hats ego has gotten so big they think they are the next Microsoft. Thankfully Dell put them in their place and now Sell SuSE instead.
I'm running Fedora Core 3 as a dual boot on a Dell Inspiron 4100, and it works perfect so far (suggestion: install all updates as soon as you install FC3).
I am not in India right now,but I am in Netherlands.Forgot to mention that, and I am not able to get
some shop here in Rotterdam,Netherland(may be I dont know) where I can look for Suse!
