Which Distro in Compaq Presario F565LA?

I tried to install Ubuntu and Opensuse 10.3 (10.2 also, but I couldn't make the wireless run). Mandriva 2008 also don't work, so right now the only thing I want is to know which distro can run on this laptop... nothing else... have someone experience with this laptop?

I think the answer is ANY distro will work on the laptop.. but you may need to configure the wireless manually. Most likely the wireless card in your laptop requires proprietary firmware (which can NOT legally be distributed with Linux) in order to work, so you will have to do some hands-on configuration to get the wireless functional.

So what wireless card is in the laptop ?

One of the two following commands should identify the wireless chip-set in the laptop
lspci

oops... i missed up the most important part and explained... I mean debian-based distros doesn't work, all hangs up before the load of the graphics server (feisty, gutsy, freespire, debian itself). Osuse 10.2 gave me an error with the IRQs after using ndiswrapper (I posted in another forum but no one answer), OSuse 10.3 hangs up randomly during the installation. Mandriva 2008 doesn't boot...

well that should be my sad experience trying GNU/Linux on that laptop, I've found different solutions like "noapic" "acpi=off", but really there aren't REAL solutions, so they don't work for me...

That's why I'm asking which distro work on that laptop... =(
