What's the Best Laptop for Linux???

I'm thinking of buying a new laptop. I want to buy a laptop that works perfectly under Linux (Suse, Mandriva, Ubuntu, Fedora my favourites, if you have any other suggestions please say).

I'm mainly into Acer Laptops, I'm having a beautiful experience on my Acer TravelMate 290 with Suse 10.1 but it's time to upgrade to a new laptop with better hardware specs.

This is a list of what I want:

- Preferably Acer
- Has built-in WLAN, LAN, Bluetooth, Infrared
- CD/DVD writer
- A good graphic card that supports XGL desktop effects (nVidia, ATI)
- Long battery life
- Not super expensive, has to be less than or equal to $1400.
- I don't want a huge laptop, I also don't want a tiny laptop.
- All this hardware should be supported with Linux

It would be nice to have:

- Built-in webcam on the monitor that works in Linux
- Projector or TV out

Thank you in advance.

I'm having a good time with my acer aspire 3000 - everything goes.
Personally, I'd pick nvidia over ati ... however, I understand the intel have open-source drivers for their 3D accelerated boards. (Corrections anyone?)

What I did, was I gave the salesman my price range, then said I'd buy the best laptop which would run this linux (and produced an Ubuntu live CD). I went from store to store and quickly found one which would let me reboot their display machines from the CD. That store made the sale.
