I am running SlamD64 on a AMD 64 bit HP laptop. I have a nvidia video card. Slam installed it fine and I had high resolution. My problem was I couldn't play videos. They look to be basically red yellow and blue. So I discovered a Linux written nvidia driver for my card. I installed it and the video works fine but my tightest screen size is not 10?? x 768. I can't make it tighter and I haven't been able to find a color setting (32 True color Vs 16 color.) Has anyone else had this issue? Do I just need uninstall the nvidia driver and look for a video codec of some sort. Again, where would I find the color setup?

Thanks All,

Ace

Try running 'nvidia-settings' there's lots of options there. If you run it as root, you can also export an xorg.conf to save settings globally.
