vesafb + Intel 82852/855GM => flickering console/fbsplash

I've got some problems getting vesafb (tng) working correctly on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M7400 with "Integrated Graphics Device Intel Corporation 82852/855GM".

Actually it works, and boots, but until X starts(or when it's running and i switch to the console), is see a flicker in the right quarter of the screen (horizontal stripes).

'fbgrab' is no help trying to show the phaenomen to you, because the sceenshots look perfectly.

'dmesg|grep vesafb -i' gives:
Code:
Kernel command line: root=/dev/hda1 ro  CONSOLE=/dev/tty1 splash=silent,fadein,theme:Debian-Mist quiet video=vesafb:1024x768-24,ywrap,mtrr
vesafb: unrecognized option mtrr
vesafb: Intel Corporation, Intel(r)852MG/852MGE/855MG/855MGE Graphics Controller, Hardware Version 0.0 (OEM: Intel(r)852MG/852MGE/855MG/855MGE Graphics Chip Accelerated VGA BIOS)
vesafb: VBE version: 3.0
vesafb: VBIOS/hardware doesn't support DDC transfers
vesafb: no monitor limits have been set
vesafb: scrolling: redraw
vesafb: framebuffer at 0xe8000000, mapped to 0xe0380000, using 6144k, total 8000k
imho the "no minitor limits have been set" message looks suspicious, but neither me, nor two days of googling have an idea how to correct it....

i'd be happy if you could give me a hint
