USB line-in adapter for laptop

I would like to digitalize my LP collection, but my laptop doesn't have a line in jack, and i have the impression that you can't get PCMCIA soundcards working with linux.

However, I've found a few USB line-in adapters for sale on the net, and i was wondering if they're any good, or if they're work on linux even if they are ok.

Opinions, anyone?

i looked in the kernel (2.6.17.1) for usb audio support and i found this
Code:

< > USB Audio/MIDI driver                                                        │ │
 < > Tascam US-122, US-224 and US-428 USB driver

It looks like Alsa has generic usb audo support. So give it a shot.
