unable to save files


Hi,

I have configured my linux kernel and ramdisk for my target PCI 104 it is having 1 gb of flash and my host is a desktop

Now I wanted to save a file on it ,it gets created but when the machine is rebooted it gets vanished.

Please help me out

If you've saved it to ramdisk, that's what you asked to happen.

You can't save files to a software ramdisk and expect it to be there after you've rebooted. To some, that's the whole point of a software ramdisk. You need to save it to your flash disk for it be still be there after you've rebooted.

If what you have is a new-fangled solid-state ramdisk thing, I don't know how to help you as I've never used one.

You need to mount the flash disk you have, and then save files there instead of in your ramdisk. Files on a flash drive should be permanent.
