unable to install linux on my new HP pavillion

Hello all .I bought a new HP Pavilion notebook.It's vista preinstalled.I am unable to install linux on this.I am unable to catch the problem,wheather it's bios locked or anything else.Plz help me regarding this issue.

What do you mean you can't install Linux? What have you done and what results were you getting?
