unable to get full Brightness : DELL D520 Latitude
My DELL laptop has a problem with enabling brightness. I don't have any problem to get full brightness. I had quick set installed in my windows. But in my SUSE 11.0 , i had problem with enabling full brighness !!
i had my short cut to enable brightness as follow
fn + up arrow - to increase brightness
fn + down arrow - to decrease brightness
My SUSE has a default setting of brightness ... i don't know where i had to modify it .
But i know one thing that , whenever i try to increase brightness through functional keys ,it is increasing and then comes to normal ( i.e. default brightness ) . This is similar for decreasing of brightness.
Well, I don't know if it will help you, since I know absolutely nothing about Suse, but in my case with Fedora (Gnome) I can go to System > Preferences > System > Power Management and there, I can set the default brightness to my liking. Maybe you can do that by right-clicking on the battery icon on your task bar and set you preferences that way.
Hey thanks ,
I am sry , i didn't checked simple icon in my tray . But i had tried all terminal commands . it's sooo funny. I forgot small thing . haahhaahah
Thanks once again !!
