UeFI latest up to date systems


Need clarification
UEFI....
Legacy Boot

How to convert a inaccesible windows 8.1 with error code 0xc0000001 , factory installed into a linux that will have grub to allow further partitioning.

Is it compulsory to use a windows recovery disc or isnt there an option to by pass?
Just getting familiar with UEFI being a new BIOS.....

Download windows 8.1 & do repair install with your present windows key.
Or if you can get to recovery console
