Ubuntu 12.04 stuck forever on OS boot screen after the updation
I have installed ubuntu 12.04 on my toshiba satellite L650 laptop. It was working fine. After I updated it using the default GUI for updation, it stuck on os boot screen forever. The OS boot screen appears - Says "Ubuntu" and has the 4 or 5 pulsing dots underneath - and it just sits at that screen forever. Does any one know how to fix this??? Thanks in advance.

Code:
/etc/init.d/gdm3 stoplogin Code:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade |
From the boot menu select "recover mode" and hit <Enter>.
This will let you see the messages scroll by. If it stops, write down the last few messages (exactly), and post them here. Maybe try the "fsck" option (just reply "Yes" to the remount), then resume normal boot. Does that bring you to the GUI desktop ?. |
Hi,
The issue is solved by reinstalling grub and disabling wirless network adapter. After it I updated again. I dont know which solved the issue, now ubuntu is working fine. Thanks. |
