Ubuntu 11.04 Suspend / Hibernate not working on a Dell D630
I have been using Ubuntu for a few years on my Dell D630 laptop, and I upgraded to the new Ubuntu (11.04) about 3 weeks ago. My suspend / hibernate function was working great. But now in the past few days it no longer works. I have all the settings in the power manager set correctly, and when I close the lid on the laptop, the wireless turns off, hard drive stops, and the power stays on. I have let it sit for up to 10 min and still will not turn off. When I open my laptop lid the screen stays blank and the caps lock and scroll lock are both flashing. So I thought that it might be a problem with the laptop. I re-installed the OS (and updates) and still the same thing, I tried Linux Mint 11 and after the updates the same thing happened. I have to turn off the computer and then turn it back on to get it working again. I then tried windows 7 and it has no problem going into suspend mode. I tried Fedora 15 and it worked just fine as well. I guess I could go to fedora, but I really enjoy working with Ubuntu and don't want to have to switch, or have to go back to M$. Thanks in advance for the help!!
