Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, Transmission 1.93 and CPU temperature

Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a weird problem with my Toshiba Satellite P300-19F. While using Transmission v1.93 for torrent traffic, I get high temperature on my laptop. Does anyone how to fix this issue?
Thanks so much in advance

Stefano

What was transmission doing? high traffic, verifing, high cpu usage?

downloading

Transmission is downloading one file, no other file downloads scheduled.
My CPU temp is now at 85°C (ACPI THRM).

Skype videocalls trigger the same problem :(

I've just discovered that also Skype videocalls trigger the same rise of CPU temperature. I really can't find out what's wrong with my system.
