Ubuntu 8.04 runs well on my Asus A6000 LAPTOP (with SiS M661 graphics). Unfortunately if I upgrade to any later version, including 9.10, the display becomes unstable, flickering and psychedelic pink. Can anyone tell me why it should work OK in the older version and not the latest - and how I can work around the problem? Thanks in advance, Kaspin
Hi jkzfixme,
That link looks really interesting - will take me a few days (newbie - pensioner) to try them all, but at least one seems to address the type of problem I get. Will report back.
Kaspin
