Trying to run and/or install linux, cd drive is broken.

I have a 250mb ram, 1ghz athlon processor sony vaio laptop, which is currently running windows xp. The CD/DVD drive has broken a few months ago, so i can't run knoppix or any installation disk. Is there a fairly painless way to install SuSE or any other easy-to-use distro while having a dual boot configuration?

You could try Instlux: Upgrade your windows Never tried it so I cant say how it works.

What about a floppy drive? If you have a floopy you can install Debian using the netinstall methid.
