Trouble finding "live file system" when installing Netbook Remix

Hi, I'm trying to install netbook remix on my out-of-the-box 1005PE with windows 7. I used LinuxLive USB Creator 2.4 to put the netbook remix file onto my usb device. I get to the part where I choose whether I want persistent mode, live mode, installation or a few other options. I chose installation. Here is what I see on my screen starting a little before where I think the error is:

Begin: Running /scripts/casper-premount ...
Done.
Done.

BusyBox v1.13.3 (Ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

I've tried the whole process several times. I've tried redownloading the netbook remix file, reusing LinuxLive and trying Unetbootin-windows-433.

Let me know if there's any more information I can give that would be helpful. My experience with Linux is nil.

Welcome to LQ Jumsy!

Please use Ubuntu's own usb creator or at worst Unetbootin
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

I think you 'll have better results with Unetbootin

If you have a ubuntu livecd, boot it and install usb-creator
then use that to install to usb.

No dice

Hey, thanks for the welcome!

I tried Unetbootin again, but it didn't work. I got to the part where the linux logo initially flashed on the screen as something was loading. The screen then went black except for a blinking underscore in the top left. After waiting a few minutes I got the same message as before.

I've got a feeling that the problem is with my USB drive. I'll pick up a cheap 1gp one tomorrow.

Hey, I fixed the problem! Getting a new USB drive did the trick.
