Touchpad on Toshiba Satellite

I have installed Fedora Core 3 on my Toshiba laptop and i can't use my touchpad. The keyboard is working fine and i connected a usb optical mouse and it works fine. I don't know exactly what needs to be done but i'm pretty sure we can get it working, right ?

Yeah, it seems to go that way. The problem is i have no idea where to find the name of the touchpad, maybe i'll find it in toshiba's website. I'll come back to you on this. I'll do some research, like i've done so far.

if you google for the model number of your laptop and the touchpad
something like this
Quote:
Toshiba Satellite <model number> touchpad manufacturer
you should find some stuff. Also look into www.google.com/linux
It will allow you to narrow down your search results. Also look at www.tuxmobil.com, there are thousands of reviews there of people getting linux working on their laptops/pdas/etc.
