total newbie with a dell inspiron 1000

Hi

Okay, I am a total newb. I just downloaded and installed on a cd the slax linux program.

I can boot onto my laptop, but my one complaint is not getting the touchpad to work.

I mean it's far easier to use a mouse or touchpad then using the keystroke.

so can someone help me.

if there is an answer on another threat..please let me know.

thanks in advance
