Toshiba Tecra M3 with Slackware (also, what about removing Windows?)
So, I'm in the market for a new Laptop to use for programming and EE related programs. The last laptop I had was a Dell Latitude C600 and worked flawlessly with Linux and am looking for another linux friendly book.
From the parts list of the Toshiba Tecra M3 it seems to be a hands down compatible notebook and was looking for opinions on it and other laptops that have are Celeron with a 533mhz FSB. The Toshiba I have layed out atm is this: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...dateButton.y=9 The link should work correctly I hope. Also, anyone that has ordered from Toshiba, is it a hassle to get them to remove Windows from the notebook order and how much may I save without it so I can maybe upgrade it even more? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks |
