Toshiba screen size
Hello there,
I just installed Red Hat 9 on my Toshiba 2410 laptop, It detected my video card as nvidia geforce 4 (generic), so far so good. When the gnome desktop is present, the screen is about two inches too small around all the edges, (gui does not fill the entire screen area) I have tried to adjust the screen size in the gnome gui, (via display settings), but every time I set it to display 1024x740, it says that the new setting is saved, and will take effect when I log off and reboot. When I click ok, log off, and restart, the setting defaults back to the 800x640 setting. I am not experienced at the terminal shell, but if somebody knows the exact file and modifications I need to make I am willing to give it a try. or is there an updated driver for this card? Thanks to all, (execpt Bill) |
