Thinkpad T21 and Slackware Knob problem
i'm running slackware 10.1 on a Thinkpad T21. Kernel 2.4.29.
When i plug in a usb mouse, the mouse works fine, but I can't use the knob mouse in the middle of the keyboard. When i remove the usb mouse and try "startx" it crashes saying it cant find device /dev/mouse Any ideas on what i can do to get the knob mouse working?? |
Its Udev being a little weird, it symlinks /dev/mouse on boot depending on what it finds, you can add both pointers to you xorg.conf file, and also... its been a while since I fiddled with this, you can change settings in BIOS with the pointer so that the eraserhead is always on... I think. I used to use the port replicator with a PS/2 mouse and just got bored fiddling with it, but its possible from that angle.
