Thinkpad 560 architecture

Been trying to get linux onto this for a while know, but i t just occured to me that i might be using the wrong architecture. It has a pentium 1 or 2 at 100 MHz, 32 bit, so I assumed that it was i386.

Would anyone be able to confirm / correct this ?

According to; http://www.members.shaw.ca/dan.mckay/TP560Slk.html

It's a 100MHz Pentium1 CPU which is i386 compatible CPU, however this CPU is below the requmended specs for Fedora Core 4;

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/releas...-hardware-reqs

If you have enough ram you should be able to install at least in text mode, it will be somewhat slow. You might want to install Slackware instead (see the first link above).
