Thinking of getting an hp tx2500z With the new Puma series AMD Turion...

My concern is: will this fresh off the market processor pose too many problems with all the latest distributions of Linux? I'm hoping it won't pose any problems at all really, but I figured there might be some people here with more understanding than I on the matter.

How is Linux with touchscreen tablets? Is this more of a BIOS related function, and the screen will just automatically work regardless of the xwindow flavor used? are there drivers for this? I'm so anxious yet so concerned .

Any knowledge about this matter is more than appreciated,
x.D

Last week I read of a Linux distribution for touch screens & sub-notebooks. Sorry I do not remember a name. That distribution may have what you need to add to your favorite distro.
Puma must work with old OSs or clean install would not be possible.
