The Application "gpilotd" has quit unexpectedly.

I just got a replacement treo 600 smartphone which runs PALM OS 5 - I am trying to restore my old files but when I try and restore - I get a message saying - "would I like to restore user XXXX" - I click yes and I get the message

"The Application "gpilotd" has quit unexpectedly."
