Synaptics driver quirk

I have the Synaptics TouchPad driver working fine in X except for one small quirk. I have VertTwoFingerScroll enabled, and when I perform a two finger scroll, the sensitivity becomes extremely high to the point where it tracks without my finger even touching the pad!!? I can literally hover over the pad a good inch and it still tracks. This only happens during a two finger scroll; the driver tracks one finger mouse activity perfectly.

I tried changing a number of the xorg.conf options for the driver ( available @ http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Synaptics_Touchpad ) but nothing seems to work. Not sure where else to ask this question... Any ideas?

Thanks

Could a possibility be to try the PS2 (or PS/2) mouse driver? I only ask this because I tried it in Slackware and I have a Synaptics PS/2 mouse pad for my laptop. I think, but I am not sure, that the general driver PS/2 or whatever it is called might help. I only say this: if it works, could that be the driver you may try? I honestly do not know. I do hope this helps
