Suspend to Disk (Possible with LVM?)
I'm running Fedora Core 3 Test 2. I've enabled the pmdisk in the kernel and added
pmdisk=/dev/mapper/Volume00-LogVol01(swap file location)
to my grub.conf file.
Everything seems to go well when I suspend to disk. When I power up the kernel cannot find either of my LVM partitions, then panics and stops. If I remove the pmdisk= line, my system boots just fine. Of course I have to use:
mkswap /dev/mapper/Volume00-LogVol01 and swapon -a
to get my swap file back and operational.
I get the same results using "software suspend" switched on in the kernel and
resume=/dev/mapper/Volume00-LogVol01
in my grub.conf.
Can suspend to disk be used with an LVM swap partition?
