It is difficult to say the exact remeady [sic] of this problem with the information provided. We will have to do some investigation to find more information about the problem.
First, see if you have tcpdump or wireshark installed on your computer by opening a terminal window and entering the following command.
Code:
sudo which tcpdump
sudo which wireshark
Note that I have included sudo at the beginning of each command because your distribution may not have /sbin and /usr/sbin in the PATH of your normal user accounts.
If you have tcpdump or wireshark you can use them to watch the network traffic when you are trying to read or write between the computer and the network storage device(s).
If you don't have either tcpdump or wireshark installed then use your distribution's package manager to install one of them.
Once you have one of these packages installed then write back and I will provide the next instruction. Also please state the name and version of your Linux distribution in your next post.
