Standby/Sleep immediately wakes up again

Hi all,

When I try to get my laptop in Standby or Suspend mode (either by using KLaptop or with "echo -n standby > /sys/power/state"), It seems to initiate fine, but somehow it immediately awakes from said mode.

Does anybody have a clue what's causing this and how to resolve it?

Thanks.

Found this post buried, but I'm having a similar issue. The cause seems to be laptop-mode... if laptop-mode is enabled, suspend immediately revives, but it works fine when laptop-mode is disabled.

I don't think you really want to be suspending in laptop mode anyway, because I'm pretty sure that there is no syncing going on, so any info that hadn't been written to disk thanks to laptop-mode would be lost? I'm still looking into this... seems someone should have gotten workable laptops/battery controls by now...

ok, i lie. A lot.

Now suspend is working fine with laptop-mode enabled, and I"m officially just confused. I don't think I changed much of anything, but sometime suspend works fine, and other times it wakes up immediately. Any thoughts for the :newbie: ?
