Special Fn-Keys on FC2 and Thinkpad R40

hi people!

i'm running FC2 on a Thinkpad R40. I'm running acpi very good, i can suspend to disk using echo 4 > /proc/acpi/sleep, but only when the x-server isn't running (runlevel 5, but without X)

my probmel is, i can't use the Special FN-keys (for example Fn+F4 to sleep to ram)

how can i configure this, is this a special feature im kernel? if i go to sleep to ram (echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep) i can't turn my computer on again!!! i have to take battery out and ac power and restart :-(

how can i activate this Special keys???

thankx in advance,

leg
