Sound problems on Omnibook 4150
After much trial and tribulation, I finally got SUSE 10.1 running on my old HP Omnibook 4150. I even have internet! I know there's a sound card in this laptop, because I used to listen to internet radio when I had Windows 2000 installed on it. It has Neomagic 256xx (something) on it. But when I attempt to configure sound, I get a message that recommends I try OSS/Free or ALSA. Can anyone provide any guidance? Thanks!
I've had two OmniBooks with Linux on them, a 3xxx and a 1xxx.
Install ALSA on your laptop, then SU and run alsa-conf
