SolusOS BFS kernel on laptop with dual core

I am planning to switch to SolusOS on my laptop with dual core AMD processor. SolusOS is using BFS kernel. Can I get good performance with this kernel for dual core processor?

Currently I am using Xubuntu 12.04 which has SMP support in the default kernel.

I looked at the solusos web page and it looks like they are based on debain(just like Ubuntu is). The thing that I am looking at is that they say they are still in the alaha4 stage. I personally do not think this comforting. Unless you want to hack around the box and really get iyour hands dirty while playing debgging with some software or hardware that works myteriously I would ask you to stay out of it and wait until they release something stable.
My two cents

Yes, SolusOS 2 is in Alpha stage. I was referring to SolusOS 1 Eveline release. Anyway, thanks for the response. May be I will use Netrunner OS Dryland edition once it is released.
