Unhappy SLOW satellite4100x not at full speed?

I have a Toshiba Satllite 4100x running Mandrake,( I think the x is for a japanese version, I hav'nt seen any els where than in Japan) I've been to the Toshiba-Linux websit where, no 4100x, but the closest version said that in general ther's no installation problem..but it's so slow and the mouse arrow moves very badly, before it had windows 95 and was much quicker. I have reinstalled linux several times but it dose'nt seem to detect all the hardware.
Pentim II 266Mhz
HDD Int: Intel PIIX4, 4,3 GB
CPU: Intel Mobile PII 266
Ram:64MB
cashmem. 32KB, 266KB
videoram: 2MB
sorry forgot to say
graphic: Chips&tech B65555
(Sorry, I'm transalating from japanese so I don't know what's what. Is this suppose to be my graphic card?)

Ram is detected OK, so where can be the problem?
Is ther any other information needed so someone can answer? Why is it so slow?
Also, CDs and floppys are mounted onece then forgotten, so to it is difficult to copy files, as at halfway it says the information is not readable. Waht can I do?

Apart from that I wish to stick to Linux, all these problems make me study and I find that great!! Thank's to Linus & co.

PS:I did'nt see the "edit" button so I sent a reply to complete this mess, how can I delete it?
