slackware 10.2 on a compaq armada 4120 help !

i have an older laptop ( a compaq armada 4120) 120mg cpu and 16 mg ram.
installing was no problem as i have play'd with unix/linux for a few years.
my problem is the xorgconfig settings so i can see what im doing.
i can get it to run with setting's that have the display so big that i cant move the windows to see all the setting's !
im banging my head preaty hard here lately!!
help !!!!!

i wonder using this spec u still can see GUI?

yes i have the gui up and running but the res. is at 320x??? ( i don't remeber).
